    Minecraft Java, Compiled Native | From QuestCraft to Xbox Filed October 7, 2026

    TL;DR

    I compile Minecraft: Java Edition ahead of time into a native executable with GraalVM, no JVM at runtime, and it runs modded on an Xbox One and an Xbox Series S. Vanilla, Fabric and Forge all work, and the tool that builds it, MCNativeBuilder, is open source.

    I... honest to god did not want to write this immediately following what happened. I couldn't find a way to put it into words without frankly closing my text editor.

    Combine that with the fact of having, at the time, a full time job... you get a response to what happened after 2 months. I really enjoyed hanging out with Cart. I also enjoyed me, CAD's, and Cart's Rocket League sessions.
